I photographed this lovely couple in Leavenworth back in 2016.
I approached them with the idea of taking a simple portrait during the cocktail hour and asked, “You two?”
They laughed — “Us?”
“Yes,” I said. “You two!”
“Okay!”
Without hesitation, they leaned in and kissed. In a matter of seconds, so much joy and emotion poured out of them — effortless, genuine, and full of life. It was a reminder of what love can look like over time. Still playful. Still present. Still deeply in love. The kind of connection that feels like living every day as if you’re newly married.
